Austin L. Gerber, M.D.

Dr. Gerber, board certified, is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology. As a native of Syracuse, Indiana, he is thrilled to bring expert surgical care of the eyelids, eye socket, tear ducts, and face to the northern Indiana communities he calls home.

His two years of extra training in a highly competitive and prestigious ASOPRS fellowship enable Dr. Gerber to offer his patients the most advanced surgical and nonsurgical treatments currently available in the United States. His special interests include eyelid and orbital cancer management, cosmetic eyelid surgery, lacrimal system reconstruction, facial trauma, and the management of thyroid eye disease. Dr. Gerber has won several awards for his ongoing research in the field of oculoplastic surgery, which has been widely published in the medical literature. He frequently lectures at national meetings on a wide variety of topics related to the eyelids and eye socket. In his spare time, Dr. Gerber enjoys boating, water sports, basketball, running, cooking, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Tiffany, and their four children.
